Winter has brought a few things into my life.
Firstly, the realization that the landlord of my otherwise lovely city apartment is clearly allergic to snow and hard work. “Snow removal,” as it turns out, means only clearing the sidewalk to prevent getting a fine, so as a result I’ve been shoveling or spending a hell of a lot of time in the apartment, just not going anywhere because I can’t be bothered. Needless to say, the next place I move to (hunting right now …) the question regarding snow removal will be “Does that actually mean someone else comes and clears the driveway? A plow maybe? Yes? Can I have that in writing?”
Secondly, all that time indoors has left me with not a hell of a lot to do except write. I started something short about two weeks ago during a creative spurt and after I cancelled my cable last week I just charged on. If you’re following me on Twitter you’ll have read me crowing about making it halfway through a novella.
I think.
Probably.
I have no idea how to wrap things up neatly, but then again I didn’t know how Out of the Blue was going to end until I wrote the last paragraph, and with Head Over Heels it was a case of, “Well, they asked for it to be longer, so I suppose I should write a beginning and an ending.” As well, what I started with is the complete opposite of what I’ve ended up with, so God only knows what will happen when I start working on the last scene.
No matter how it ends, I’m hoping to see it published as A.M. Hartnett — it’s just a little too filthy to be an Annemarie.
Speaking of filthy, Sudden Sex releases this month. Sixty-nine stories handpicked by smut goddess Alison Tyler, and three of those are by me! According to Amazon the book is already shipping a few days early, so lucky you if you want a print copy — you might even get yours before I get mine! Kindle release date is for April.

Might I suggest Florida?
