I sent off a contract a couple of days ago for Rachel Kramer Bussel’s Big Book of Orgasm. My story is “Piano Man” and I’m still trying to wrap my head around how it came to be. “Piano Man” began as a historical story about a Highwayman … and somehow managed to evolve into a contemporary quickie that takes place in a piano bar.
I have no idea. Just go with it.
I found out this morning that mine isn’t the only musical story: Annabeth Leong writes about her short and it’s relationship to music.
Hurrah!
Ha! I love the idea of your historical story morphing into a piano-bar tale. Very Monty Python!
Right, Jeremy! Stop that! Too silly!
Cool! Glad we’ll both be in the book, and I’m excited to see how a Highwayman morphs into a piano bar.
I think this is the fourth or fifth antho we’re in together!
