I’ve been sitting on this one, and by sitting on I mean totally forgot about until this morning.
2012 was the year of the quickie for me, and beginning with Sudden Sex those stories are now appearing in various anthologies. Up next is the Mammoth Book of Quick & Dirty Erotica (Running Press), edited by Maxim Jakubowski.
My story for this one is “The New Emily,” and though it’s short, it’s old school for me. Whether you call it hate sex or revenge sex or whatever, you’d never see something like this in the other anthologies I’ve been a part of. These people don’t even like one another. He’s slime, she’s frosty, and probably because of that they’d leave cracks in the walls if they kept it up all night.
I don’t have a table of contents for this one just yet, but I do know that this collection has a lot of great writers attached to it and I’ll probably explode from happiness when I get my hands on my copies.

My eternal struggle when it comes to some pieces I’ve abandoned — the hero is an asshole and I like him just the way he is. One of these days I’ll get ballsy enough to give him an ending.
